What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic is an evidence-informed, non-invasive, manual therapy health care discipline that addresses the musculoskeletal system. Chiropractors practice using their hands to assess, diagnose, treat, and prevent disorders related to spine, pelvis, nervous system, and joints. In Ontario, 2.7 million patients are seen yearly to help them live active, healthy lifestyles.
After taking a history, performing an examination and establishing a diagnosis, a comprehensive treatment plan will be developed. Chiropractors can use a variety of different techniques depending on the diagnosis and patient's comfort. They will coordinate care with other health care professionals to ensure the patient obtains optimal health.
